It is important to know that no case is settled until the exact nature of your medical condition has been determined and the investigation of your case has been completed.
It usually takes a month or more just to gather all the necessary information. The doctors cannot answer many questions until treatment has been completed. Settlement negotiations will not be entered into until you are at pre-incident status or you have reached maximum medical improvement. When a lawsuit is filed, more time will be expended waiting for the formal answer to the petition, scheduling the discovery, and getting a court date for the trial.
Our goal is to complete your case as quickly as we can without sacrificing thoroughness. However, it will always take too long in your eyes. One of the most difficult things we ask of our clients is patience.
